The Hot to Not® iron cover was designed after my daughter was burned by my clothing iron almost an hour after I had left it out to cool. The Hot to Not® is placed over the hot sole of the iron after use so that the iron can be safely stored until next use. If I had this cover my daughter my have been only bruised, instead of scarred. The insulation in this cover is similar to the material used in Firemen’s turnout gear. It can resist scorching up to 100 degrees hotter than the iron’s top setting.
